Dog Skin Rash

Dog skin allergies or a dog skin rash can present themselves at random times for no particular reason.
Humans deal with skin issues constantly, and we have thousands of creams, rubs and medications to eliminate the issues. There are many serious skin issues that our dogs can become afflicted with as well, but because of their thick coats, it’s slightly more difficult to diagnose the exact skin problem.

severe skin dryness and itchiness may be alleviated by some coconut oil soaks one time per week. Massage in some coconut oil is a good option) all over the areas that are dry and scaly and let it soak in for 4 to 6 hours. If your dog is still greasy after 4 to 6 hours, shampoo him with Palmolive dish soap to remove the excess oil. If the oil has all soaked into his skin, use a baby shampoo.http://www.organic-pet-digest.com/dog-skin-rash.html

Itchy Skin Rash

Whether it is used by patients or doctors, the word rash does not have an exact meaning or refer to a specific disease or kind of disorder. It's a general term that means an outbreak of bumps on the body that changes the way the skin looks and feels. Rashes can be localized to one area or else be widespread. The way people use this term, a rash can refer to many different skin conditions.

Although rashes are seldom dangerous, self-diagnosis is not usually a good idea. Proper evaluation of a skin rash requires a visit to a doctor or other health-care professional. The following guidelines may help you decide what category your rash falls into.http://www.medicinenet.com/rash/article.htm

Skin Rash Treatment

Nobody knows exactly why some people are affected by these rashes and others with the same exposure aren’t. Those with atopic dermatitis often have non-skin allergies (like hay fever and asthma) but their rashes aren’t caused by skin allergies. On the other hand, those with contact dermatitis do have true skin allergies, but usually not other allergic problems like someone with atopic dermatitis. Contact dermatitis occurs at all ages, whereas atopic dermatitis is most often a problem in kids. Hand dermatitis is caused by skin irritants such as detergents or chemicals.

Scratching can actually trigger eczematous rashes. Initial mild itching makes you want to scratch, of course. But scratching damages the skin, worsens inflammation, irritates surface nerves, and leads to even more intense itching than you had before. This cycle aggravates and prolongs all of these rashes. In fact some eczematous rashes completely disappear without any treatment if you just stop scratching.

Baby Skin Rash

Neonatal or baby acne is a common problem that begins after a baby is a few weeks old. It is thought to be triggered by maternal hormones that a baby gets even before she is born. Infants with baby acne typically get whiteheads, blackheads, and pustules on their nose, scalp, cheeks and forehead. There skin may also appear red and rough. Although its appearance is often distressing to new parents, no treatment is usually required.

As the name implies, heat rash is triggered in some babies when they become overheated, either because they are overdressed or because it is simply too hot outside. As they become hot and sweat, their sweat ducts become blocked and rupture. Prickly heat, which is also known as miliaria rubra, is the most common type of heat rash. In this form of heat rash, the sweat duct becomes red and inflamed and look like small bumps with a red halo around them.  http://pediatrics.about.com/od/yourbabyweekbyweek/ss/baby_wk_three_5.htm

Part of the reason psoriasis is such a complicated disease is that there are several different types of psoriasis. A person with psoriasis can have one or more of them, and the type could change throughout the person's lifetime.
